Girls in Data is a charity dedicated to empowering girls to explore and succeed in data and technology. We are building a digital platform powered by Dynamics 365 and Power Pages to support our community, programmes, and growth.

The Role:
We’re looking for a Software Engineer with strong JavaScript skills to help us extend and enhance our CRM and website beyond out-of-the-box functionality.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute directly to building a platform that supports and inspires the next generation of girls in data.
We welcome both  junior and experienced engineers—what matters most is your willingness to learn, contribute, and support our mission.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Customise and extend our Dynamics 365 CRM to meet evolving needs
  • Build and improve Power Pages features and user experiences
  • Develop custom JavaScript solutions to enhance functionality
  • Support integrations with external tools and services
  • Collaborate with a small, mission-driven remote team
  • Contribute to technical decisions and scalable solutions
  • Troubleshoot and improve system performance

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Experience with JavaScript (level can vary from junior to advanced) 
  • Interest in or exposure to Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform
  • Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, APIs)
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Power Pages (Power Apps Portals)
  • Familiarity with Dataverse and CRM customisation
  • Experience with integrations and automation
  • Interest in education, social impact, or increasing diversity in tech

Time Commitment
We ask for approximately  2–3 hours per week, with flexibility depending on your availability.
