Power BI Developer (Telemetry & Product Insights)

About Us
Girls in Data is a charity dedicated to empowering girls to explore and succeed in data. We are building a digital platform powered by Dynamics 365 and Power Pages to support our community, programmes, and growth.
The Role:
We’re looking for a Power BI Developer to help us understand how users interact with our platform and identify opportunities to improve engagement and sign-ups.
This role focuses on telemetry and product insights understanding user behaviour, journeys, and drop-off points across our website and systems.
We welcome both junior and experienced contributors who are curious about data and motivated to create impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build dashboards to track user behaviour and engagement
- Building wireframes for first build and roadmap product
- Analyse user journeys and conversion funnels (e.g. volunteer sign-up flow)
- Identify drop-off points and areas for improvement
- Work with engineers to define and capture tracking/telemetry data
- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Help establish simple metrics and KPIs for product success
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Experience with Power BI (or similar data visualisation tools)
- Interest in user behaviour, analytics, or product insights
- Basic understanding of data modelling and dashboards
- Experience in Data Visualisation and storytelling
- Curiosity and ability to turn data into insights
- Ability to work independently in a remote team
- Experience in creating dashboard wireframes
Nice to have:
- Experience with web analytics or telemetry data
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 / Dataverse data and Power Pages
- Understanding of conversion funnels or UX metrics
- Interest in product or growth analytics

Time Commitment
We ask for approximately 3–5 hours per week, with flexibility depending on your availability.
